The Camden Model of Social Work describes the way in which social workers in Camden work “step by step and side by side” with children, families and the other professionals.
It is informed by systemic principles including appreciating each child and families’ unique position in the world, working with their strengths and resources with respect and curiosity and attending to issues of power and social difference. These include race, class, gender and disability etc.
The model uses systemic questioning and reflecting processes to explore multiple perspectives with the aim of increasing the choices available to people whilst managing risk with relational artistry.
